This is a booklet I designed for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo in celebrations of 125 years of service. For 125 years the Clubs have provided a safe place to fulfill their mission, which is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible, citizens. Today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo serve over 5,500 youth each year, and over 500 children each day with 4 locations. This book was designed to be a fun and interesting guide to bring hope and celebration of all their achievements over the last 125 years. The Boys & Girls Clubs wanted an opportunity to share in their celebration of this huge milestone for years to come and enjoy seeing the history of Toledo’s local Clubs unfold through the pages ahead.
For me being a graphic designer means being able to create something that tells a story. Storytelling is what I love most about design and what drives me to create. In todays world we are constantly surrounded by images so when a company or product is able to tell their message and stand out as different purely through good branding, something beautiful is made, their brand story.
